H.S.I.E.

HSIE stands for "Human Society In its Environment" and in years 7-10 at Katoomba High School that means HISTORY and GEOGRAPHY.

In years 11 and 12 HSIE covers a variety of HSC subjects and ANCIENT HISTORY, MODERN HISTORY, EXTENSION HISTORY, LEGAL STUDIES, GEOGRAPHY, BUSINESS STUDIES and SOCIETY AND CULTURE all regularly feature in the senior curriculum at Katoomba High.
