Going by the number of requests we have for information from people who are organising their school reunions, Katoomba High School is held in strong affection by many of its former students. The members of the school archives committee do their best to locate resources and information, however, due to privacy laws, we are not always able to fulfil all these requests
We have had large celebrations for the school's 75th & 85th anniversaries which were attended by many former students and staff. The next anniversary will be for a centenary of secondary education at Katoomba in 2019.
The school itself does not organise reunions for any year groups. If you wish to publicise or make contact with your former classmates the following suggestions have proved useful starting points:
- set up a Facebook page
- make contact through schoolfriends.com.au
- use the free contact/reunion sections in The Sydney Morning Herald & The Daily Telegraph
- contact the Blue Mountains Gazette
